Just like individuals at home, hotels can save money by replacing regular heat producing light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. This saves on utility bills and maintenance costs since they rarely have to be replaced. Green hotel practices can and are being implemented at all levels from motels to bed and breakfasts to high end hotels.
